Tamron SP 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD-IF Autofocus Zoom Lens for Canon EOS.

I wanted the Canon lens that are comparable to these lens but due to the astronomical price of $1200 dollars, I decided to go with the Tamron for about 1/4 of the price and the reviews just as good as the Canon. Unfortunately it looks like I am going to be waiting a little while before I can order these as there is a nationwide backorder, apparently due to the cost of materials and the exchange rate of the dollar in Japan. I guess I will continue my research in the meantime…

How to Get ImageMagick to Work With Gallery Remote in Windows Vista

If you use Gallery as a tool for displaying your photos online, you might find Gallery Remote a great tool for uploading your pictures. However, many people experience an error message upon installing Gallery Remote in Windows Vista, saying Imagemagick could not be found or is not working properly. Here’s how to fix it.

Steps

1. Install the full version of Imagemagick on your PC. It can be downloaded here. Be sure to use version ImageMagick-6.4.2-4-Q16-windows-static.exe.

2. Go to the Program Files folder on your PC and find the folder ImageMagickX.xxx.xx has been installed in. Change the name of the folder to simply ImageMagick.

3. Go to C:\Program Files\Gallery_Remote\imagemagick folder on your PC.

4. Open the im.properties file located in the folder above. It can be opened notepad.exe application.

5. Find the line that begins with im.convertPath= and change it to read: im.convertPath= C:\\Program Files\\ImageMagick\\Convert.exe

6. Save and close IM properties.

7. Open Gallery Remote. Log into your website, and drag and drop a photo. Hopefully, all will be well.
